History

The Fairfield Suisun Prayer Encounter was birthed in 2005 after the members of an area church watched the first Transformation video by the Sentinel group. In this video cities were changed when the churches of the area started to come together and pray for God's intervention. There have been 400 cities through out the world that have had total transformation, none are in the USA.

God birthed in my heart that the cities of Fairfield and Suisun needed our churches to unite in prayer. I felt God called me to start this once a month prayer group on the 3rd Saturday of every month. He instructed me to open it to any church that believes that Jesus is the risen son of God. With the support of my Pastor, the first encounter was held in February 2005.

Every month the Encounter is held in a different church. The hosting Church leads us in praise & worship and then in a time of prayer. We conclude with taking the Lord's Supper.

We have seen God move in our cities. The Daily Republic reported in Jan. 2006: FAIRFIELD - Violent crime declined 23 percent in Fairfield in 2005, welcome news for a city in which crime concerns played a major part in the recent City Council election.

In 2005 there were 7 churches regularly participating in the Prayer Encounters. Currently, in 2008, there are 17 churches that participate on a regular basis and who are committed to pray for our cities. God is good and He is doing great things. Please consider joining us in prayer.
